How automated reminders actually work

A no-show is rarely intentional. It's usually one of three things: the client forgot, the client's plans changed and rescheduling felt awkward, or the client thought they had a different time.

A reminder 24 hours ahead catches the "forgot" case. A reminder 60 minutes ahead with a one-tap reschedule link catches the "plans changed" case. Combined, they recover roughly 60% of would-be no-shows.

The catch: this only works if the reminders are automatic. A reminder you forget to send on a busy Saturday does nothing.
